Originally from Ripon I have completed my Sport and Exercise Therapy undergraduate degree before going on to complete a masters in Physiotherapy at York St John University. Alongside my studies, I worked at Excel Sports Clinic, starting out in sports massage and progressing into a Sports Therapist role before qualifying as a Physiotherapist. I’ve gained a wide range of experience working in sport, including leading a medical team in rugby union and supporting athletes in clinic—from ultra-marathon runners and footballers to bodybuilders, semi-professional rugby players, and plenty of park run warriors.
My approach is to work with a patient-centred, holistic approach to assessment and rehabilitation, combining strong clinical reasoning with evidence-based practice to support individuals in achieving meaningful, lasting outcomes. I hold qualifications in kinesio taping, pre-hospital emergency care for sport, sports massage and gym instructing, as well as completing the FIFA Diploma in Football Medicine.
I have been fortunate enough to work with the Cook Islands Women’s Rugby league team during the 2021 Rugby League World Cup, providing pre and post-game massage to support them during the tournament, I’ve also delivered sports therapy and pitchside first aid at athletics events, rugby matches, and within a football academy setting. Sport has always been a big part of my life—I played rugby for many years, and these days you’ll usually find me in the gym, practicing yoga, or out enjoying the countryside (my favourite place to be).
